Are You Our New Project Manager?

Novicell is looking for a Project Manager in London

Can you handle medium and large projects from start to finish? Do you want to work with some of the most exciting brands in the UK and Europe? Do you want to be challenged, and learn from other competent professionals within the digital sphere?

A part of the team

Novicell helps companies enable their full digital potential. We call it "business online", regardless of which of Novicell's key business areas are needed for the job. We are about 20 good people in our London office, and you will also have over 280 great colleagues across 7 offices in 4 countries.

Your tasks

Your primary task will be to plan and manage web development projects from start to finish. We have several clients already on this journey with us. Some started more recently than others. With the right support and guidance from the Head of Development in the UK, and our project teams in Denmark, you would take over these projects, owning their success.

You will be given a high level of responsibility from the start, and good opportunities to positively influence your own business day. Over a week, you will work as a ‘classical’ project manager, planning and preparing status reports, but you will also take part in process optimisation and learn more about software architecture or business intelligence. You will attend prospect and client meetings, sales pitches and events. As such, it is also crucial that you have a good deal of business understanding.

About you

It's your personality that really sets you up for this position. You are detail-orientated, accountable and a good communicator. You will be responsible for Novicell’s dialogue with the customer, agree what to do and when it will be delivered. You also have close dialogue with the developers on the project and you are responsible for the solutions you are working with.

We also ask that:

  • You have 2-3 years of experience from a broadly similar position
  • You are passionate about project management and want to quickly grow your technical understanding so that you can engage in sparring about the solutions and architecture of projects.
  • You are committed to creating a good user experience for your customers’ users.
  • You are good at planning, project management, monitoring your projects and having a realistic approach to things.
  • You can keep track of complex projects and manage and service all stakeholders in the project.
  • You have experience with project management of agile development
  • You have excellent written and oral English skills
  • You are good at communicating with both customers and colleagues
  • You are used to stepping into your customers’ shoes
  • You are a ‘player/manager’ - who can both have your fingers in the code, but also ensure that you don’t lose focus of your overall goals

Your profile

The ideal candidate is an individual with experience within management of software projects.

You are the detail-orientated, always-on-top-of-things, quick-on-the-uptake member of the team with a desire to share with and learn from everyone else. Demonstrable experience of all these points would be handy.

Most importantly, you are diligent, but not to the extent that you are a workaholic; nice, but not so nice that you let things slip.

Salary & benefits

  • Basic salary £35,000 – £45,000 (based on experience)
  • Private Healthcare Insurance
  • Pension plan

Practical information

  • We are located at 10 Devonshire Square, EC2M 4YP
  • Ideally, you can start as soon as possible
  • We will hold interviews continuously until we find the right candidate
  • If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact our Head of Development, Mikkel Keller
