Personalise website interaction with FXM

Capture the behaviour of your visitors

Just like EXM, Federated Experience Manager (FXM) is a free feature that can be activated within the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP). It can be used to provide content for websites and at the same time track the behaviour of visitors that interact with your content. The visitor interaction information is collated and kept in the Sitecore Experience Database (xDB). FXM creates the opportunity to personalise the information on websites you manage that are not Sitecore.

Federating your content across all sites you manage enables the provision of personalisation to all your users with consistency. This is certainly beneficial if you have grown by accession and having to manage multiple websites on different web structures. FXM provides an efficient method for delivering consistent content across all websites.

 Key features

  • Personalised experience for your users on all your websites
  • Providing consistent on all sites managed
  • Track user interaction and behaviour

 How FXM works

To start tracking your websites in FXM, they need to be registered as a source to track visitor activity. Once this is done, you will need to add a JavaScript tag. You can then calibrate the personalisation, goals, etc. for the relevant pages.
