Who is Korea Tourism Organization?
Korea Tourism Organization is dedicated to spreading information about the unique heritage of South Korea worldwide. They publish new articles, photos and other helpful information to encourage travel to this up-and-coming location.
Their mission is to promote Korea as a world-class travel destination, and to spread awareness of Korean culture by strengthening and developing its tourism industry.
About the collaboration
KTO wanted to promote their competition ‘Win a Trip to Korea’ in the UK and the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden). The competition ran in November and December 2019.
The main goal of the campaign was to drive views from their YouTube ads to the competition landing page.
Above average results in the UK and Nordic markets
Novicell delivered more than 3 million impressions and more than 1.5 million video views in the UK alone, surpassing expectations. Novicell also achieved a View Completion Rate (VCR) of 50% – significantly higher than the industry average of 20%.
When it comes to the Nordics, Novicell delivered more than 5 million impressions and 2.7 million video views, again far beyond initial expectations. We reached a VCR of 51%, higher than the industry benchmark of 15–20%.
Novicell thus achieved the goal of helping KTO increase awareness of South Korea through advertising channels. The competition was a success, and KTO made a few individuals very happy by announcing them as the winners of their competition.
